We called on the world’s greatest thinkers, designers, engineers and inventors to make the impossible possible.
GoFly welcomed revolutionary design, and our Technical Rules provided room for invention. We required a VTOL personal flyer that was safe, quiet, ultra-compact, and capable of carrying a single person for a distance of 20 miles without refueling or recharging. Outside of these requirements, the function and design were up to innovator teams.
Individuals and teams from around the globe competed for prizes, accessing global experts to bring their ideas to life.
Together, we will continue to make people fly.
The challenge ended on September 26, 2023.
